Set up an offer
The guide takes you through everything needed to sell something, in the right order. It does not have forms of its own: each step shows the usual screen of the plugin, so a setting is entered once and can be changed later from the Catalog page, exactly where you made it.
The seven steps come in three phases: the product, when it can be booked, and selling it. On each step, a list of points tells you what is missing or inconsistent. These points never block you. On the first screen, "Open the checklist" unfolds the list of all the points of your products and offers on the same page; "Close the checklist" folds it back.
- Resource: what you sell, its capacity, persons, duration and minimum notice.
- Staff: only for activities that need people. Who can run what, and their absences.
- Seasons: optional. Name your periods once and reuse them for opening times and for prices.
- Availability: opening periods, recurring rules, slots and closures.
- Offer: what visitors choose, the resources it sells, limits and questions.
- Prices: prices, periods, extras and deposit.
- Publish: a last check, then publish.
The first screen
The first screen is a board: one line per product and per offer, with its steps coloured by state, the number of points to look at, and a button that goes straight to the next point. It also starts the guide, or continues it where you left off.
The last step
The last step checks each offer and the products it sells: a product is linked, every bookable date has a price, opening times are set and, for an activity, enough staff can run it. Each point has a link to the place where it is solved. You can publish an offer from there even with points left, or put it back to draft.
“To correct” means visitors cannot book. “To check” means it is probably not what you want. A “Tip” is only advice.
The bar of steps
A tick means the step is done, judged from your real data; an exclamation mark means points are left to check. A step that does not apply to the chosen product, such as Staff, is marked “Not needed”. You can open any step at any time, in any order, and leave the guide whenever you want: nothing is lost.
