Overview
Visitor ratings are off by default for every type of content. Tick “Enable visitor ratings” for the types you want (Tracks, Albums, Shows) and save: a rating form then appears on the page of that content. For tracks and albums, clickable stars also appear in the blocks, next to the length of each track and under the title of each album: a visitor clicks a star, types a name and, if they wish, a comment.
Stars in the blocks
Clickable stars show next to the length of each track (Track List and Album blocks), under the title of each album (Album block) and under the title of each past show (Shows block with past shows displayed, and Past Shows block). An upcoming show never has stars. Each of these blocks has a “Show visitor ratings” setting, on by default, to hide the stars in that block only; in the Album block it covers the album and its tracks. It never turns ratings on: that depends on the boxes above.
Moderation
A rating only becomes visible, and only counts toward the average, once you approve it in “Ratings awaiting moderation”. Approve or reject each one from its row. A red counter on the tab shows how many are waiting.
Approved ratings stay listed under “Approved ratings”. Tick the boxes (or the box in the header to select the whole list) and use “Delete selected” to remove ratings at any time; deleting cannot be undone.
